Silhouettes are a very popular and everlasting precious memento of your dear ones.   World renown artist, Ed Johnson, can craft a silhouette of anyone in one minute.  He simply looks at the side of your face to create a beautiful work of art.  Since 1750, this form of art has been treasured by millions of people.

 

 

 

About Ed:

Ed has been a silhouette artist since 1960.   He has worked in forty states and in over seven European countries including Austria, Italy, Greece, England, France, Germany, Holland and North Africa.   He also works with children's day care centers in Tennessee and Georgia.

In the 1980's Mr. Johnson worked at Silver Dollar City (Dollywood) amusement park in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.  For 30 years he had a studio on the trail at Rock City, Lookout Mountain Tennessee.  Mr. Johnson has also been  featured in the Chattanooga News Free Press.

While traveling around the United States and Europe, Mr. Johnson has frequently been asked to do silhouettes of famous people.   A few of whom include:   Milton Berle, Phyllis Diller, Loretta Lynn, Bob Crane, Rich Little, Al Lewis, Peter Marshall, Hank Snow, Jonathan Winters, Jimmy Durante, T.G. Shephard, and Dolly Parton.  

Mr. Johnson is internationally known for his multi-superimposed silhouettes.  He is particularly fond of this form and can do up to three people on one piece of paper.  Ed acquired his skill by traveling with a silhouette cutter in Europe for four years.
